Epcon C8 Delivers Extreme Performance
Spit has launched the chemical anchor Epcon C8 Extreme, an epoxy resin that has been specifically formulated for rebar and stud applications requiring a high load capacity. The new formulation resin is the first to achieve European Technical Approval for rebar applications.
When it comes to specifying a fixing for safety critical applications, performance is vital. The European Technical Approval ensures the anchor performance of Epcon C8 Extreme is reliable and functions correctly. The approval also demonstrates that the epoxy resin complies with all necessary Building Regulations.
Easy to inject, the Epcon C8 is available with an Extreme Performance Injection Tool, which significantly reduces the effort required for application, by applying a force of up to 500kg to the 450ml resin cartridge.
Epcon C8 Extreme has also been approved for use in wet and diamond drilled holes, and rebar applications up to 32mm diameter. Epcon C8 allows injection from 5 to 35°C, providing the same high performance level without heating the cartridge.
Suitable for extreme applications, CSTB fire tested and NF approved, Epcon C8 offers reliability and high performance at both low and high temperatures. Phenol and Styrene free it has virtually no odour, making it ideal for indoor applications.
