Socom

Socom was launched in the early 90’s, by Raymond and Philippe Chausse who is still the President of the Company. Jean Marc Legoffic was also a member of the starting team. Firstly dedicated to the distribution of adhesives, Socom started to work in chemical fixing for the construction in the middle of the 90’s. Since the beginning of its history, Socom is only working under private label programs. That means that the Socom brand doesn't exist on the market. Our product becomes your product, under your own brand. The Socom's philosophy is to offer a global solution from the product to the services, that fits into a specific market.

In 2005 the company become public, with the introduction of 10% of the shares on the Paris stock exchange.In 2006, the turnover is around 8 millions of euros, SOCOM is present in more than 40 countries. 70% of the sales are export sales.

 

The Milestones

  • In 1997 a production plant is opened in the south of France (Cardet-Gard). An ANVAR (Innovation agency) project is started for the formulation of a styrene free resin.
  • In 1999 the export department is created in Paris.
  • In 2000 the company reseive a price for export initiative: The NEF D’OR from the Chambre de Commerce of Paris.
  • In 2001, SOCOM becomes a member of SOCOTEC quality association.
